The TCFD Implementation Guide offers practical “how-to” guidance for companies to use SASB standards and the CDSB Framework to take the TCFD recommendations from principles to practice.

More than 600 organisations have publicly expressed support for the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), but far fewer have implemented the TCFD’s recommendations in their core communications with investors. The Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB) and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) have come together to bridge this implementation gap. The TCFD Implementation Guide offers an effective solution for organisations around the world, in all industries and sectors, drawing on well-established reporting frameworks to provide companies with practical how-to guidance. Using the guide’s annotated mock disclosures to inform their own reporting efforts, companies can more effectively take the TCFD recommendations from principles to practice. For additional resources related to the recommended climate-related financial disclosures, check out our TCFD Good Practice Handbook and visit tcfdhub.org.

Please note: SASB Standards Knowledge Hub resources were developed before August 2022, at which time the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) of the IFRS Foundation assumed responsibility for the SASB Standards. These items may include concepts that are not aligned with the way in which ISSB Standards are applied. They are being retained for historical context with respect to the SASB Standards.
